Selon Mad Mike, la force de sa musique est de laisser à l’auditeur la possibilité de s’imaginer ce qu’il souhaite, ce qui explique également que les membres de Galaxy 2 Galaxy ne se montrent pas : "I don’t go in front of the music. I believe that if you put your ego in front of the music, and place it in front of the speaker, then the people trying to listen to the music can’t hear your music, they just listen to your ego."

Autre détail intéressant mais pas étonnant, Mad Mike aborde la création de façon quasi mystique (Man, when I made that track I can’t remember anything, it was a two week blur. The spirit was moving through me, and when I got through, it was ’Hi-Tech Jazz’) mais sait cependant reconnaître les influences qui ont fondé la techno de Detroit, comme le grand Electrifying Mojo (So I think he really opened up the ears, and the inspiration, and the minds of young Detroit kids, and I think that’s where the whole concept for Detroit techno came from, from Mojo.)

Mike parle également de la jeunesse de Detroit à travers son experience de coach de baseball. Pas un beau tableau.

Enfin, last but not least, il nous révèle ce qu’il croyait être le secret de Kraftwerk «  They weren’t Germans, they weren’t white, in fact we thought they were robots. For the longest, we thought they were robots ». Voilà qui explique tout !
